❌ Problem Most off-the-shelf ordering platforms weren’t flexible enough to support the business’s real operational needs. The bakery needed more than a basic ecommerce checkout. It required custom fulfillment rules, scheduling logic, pickup and delivery workflows, product options, pricing controls, loyalty, coupons, internal status tracking, and admin-side operational tooling. WooCommerce/WordPress could technically be extended, but only by stacking multiple plugins together. That approach created a fragile system with plugin conflicts, limited control over business logic, harder maintenance, and a poor fit for a more customized ordering experience.

🌟 Solution We built the platform fully custom using a modern TypeScript stack. Instead of forcing the business into plugin limitations, the system was designed around its actual workflow: custom product configuration, slot-based scheduling, fulfillment-specific rules, dynamic pricing and discounts, payment processing, customer accounts, and an internal operations dashboard. This approach gave the business complete control over the customer experience and backend logic while creating a more scalable, maintainable, and reliable platform than a plugin-driven WordPress build.
