We designed this specialized website for a transitional living program that helps young adults with autism and other challenges achieve independence. The client needed a site that would reassure concerned parents while appealing to young adults seeking autonomy—a delicate balance requiring thoughtful UX design.
The color palette uses calming blues and greens with professional accents to build trust in their clinical expertise. We created distinct user pathways for different audiences: worried parents researching options, young adults exploring programs, and healthcare professionals making referrals. Each journey provides relevant information without overwhelming any single user group.
Success stories and testimonials are woven throughout the site, providing social proof that resonates with both parents and potential participants. The content clearly explains their Direction Therapy approach, breaking down complex treatment methodologies into accessible language. Interactive elements like virtual tours and program videos help families envision the NDFYA experience.
The site emphasizes outcomes—showcasing graduates who’ve achieved independence, found employment, and successfully transitioned to independent living. This results-focused content directly addresses the primary concern of families: “Will this actually work for my child?”
